LEXUS has revealed it's new hybrid model at Detroid. Mainly build for the Us-market, which is the second biggest hybrid market next to japan, the HS 250h (yeah it has many "h's") will target the middle class citizen to reconsider his next purchase and go hybrid.

The HS was quoted by Lexus as being the car that fills up the gap between the IS and GS. Thought does the IS look far more luxurious then the HS. If Toyota launched such a car in it's range would have been more obvious, as the HS doesn't really evolve with the L-Finess design line, Lexus was mad about, to hammer in to our heads.

So what does it get under hood? Claimed 185 HP, Hybrid providing 50 of them. Probably will this hybrid engine build on the 2010 Prius technology and not on the existing Lexus hybrid units. Good news as the 2010 Pruis is advertised as the savior of the world with literally unlimited battery power. (I wish)

So what can we make of this car, other then giving it an other pseudo celeb. Eco car image?

We will have to wait how dynamic this car will be on the road, the power output looks promising and I hope that this new hybrid will offer more then just eco terror.
